Large Silver and Obsidian Pendant/Necklace 34 inches Long.

The unique jewelry design for this handcrafted/handmade
pendant came to me while observing a map of the continent
of Africa. The outline of a woman's face appeared to me. I then
proceeded to design this image.

There are several versions of this theme since they are handcrafted.
My daughter, Nichelle, suggested the name 'USO' which means face
in Swahili. I requested and received a design copyright.

This 'USO' pendant is crafted from .999 Silver Clay. The Silver Clay
has Fine Silver particles suspended in a binder that burns away when fired
leaving Fine Silver. I outlined this image; made a mold of it and inserted
Silver Metal Clay. The North, West and Central parts of Africa are repre-
sented by the hair. East and part of South Africa are depicted in the face,
and the neck portrays the Southern part of Africa.

The Pendant measures 1 5/8 inches x 1 1/8 inches x 2mm (42mm x 31mm
x 2mm). This 'USO' is suspended from a continuous loop of Black Obsidian
Pebbles.
